Panoramic Film
Public Group active 3 weeks, 5 days agoFor lovers of all things panoramic.
There are so many ways to make panoramic images… Cropped 35mm, specialist panoramic cameras such as the XPan or Linhof Technorama, Panoramic 35mm backs for 120 film cameras such as the Bronica SQA system. Then there are the different formats – 2:1 or 3:1. Love to see some discussion here on the challenges of making panoramic images – and of course show your triumphs!
Hopefully you will not find any stitched digital images here!

Panoramic Film 10 months, 3 weeks agoJust adding an X-pan to the collection of kit (my Fuji GW690III is up for sale). A bit lighter and easier to carry about than the Widepan. Not so keen on all the electronics in the X-pan (hate modern cars for the same reason), but I am looking forward to giving it a good try out. Cheers, Graham

Panoramic Film 1 year, 6 months agoAlso wanted a Fuji GX-617, but finances just wouldn’t allow it. Managed to find a little used Widepan WP-617 at a sensible discount off new price. Together with my Fuji 690 and 670, these are my 3 cameras that go…[Read more]

I mainly use Fuji Velvia and Ilford B&W film stock, though experimenting with…[Read more]

Panoramic Film: 1 year, 9 months agoI use an X-Pan with the fuil set of lenses. I use transparency film and take about the same number of frames as i do with my 35mm OM4s. I also occasionally use the 35mm format of the X-Pan.

Geoff White started the forum topic Removing Colour Casts – Colour Correction by the numbers! in the group
Panoramic Film: 1 year, 9 months agoSo many of the images on this site exhibit wicked colour casts. The original images may require correction, or perhaps the casts are as a result of poorly calibrated scanning equipment. This problem is easily fixed by using a Jessops Gray card and including it in your shot at each change of location. This image [...]
