Rangefinder-Photography

Public Group active 3 weeks, 2 days ago

Well, there is a huge range of rangefinder-cameras so far. They are an alcove today, but still new ones are produced. Most famous: the CV-Bessas, the Zeiss-Ikon ZM and of course, the Leicas.
This may be a group for all kinds of rangefinder-photography. So, not only for 24x36mm, but also for 6×6, 6×7, or whatever you like!

Lovely camera. Which lens does it have on the front?

I think it will be a very nice Color-Skopar but is it the f3.5 or f2.8 version.

Ya, it is the Color Skopar f:3.5/50. Beautiful in its simplicity.

My favourite M camera isn’t made by Leica, rather it is a Zeiss Ikon ZI with a set of Zeiss ZM lenses to go with it. Nice!

Have acquired and been using a Contax G2 and a set of Zeiss G primes recently. Very nice camera and really lovely lenses. I have also been trying out Fuji Superia 200 in place of my more usual 160C and really like it. I use it mostly for my work photographing heritage steam locomotives where the electronic focusing and high degree go automation…[Read more]

Took my LEICAS to the Philippines last August — but I also took my Free Gift Zeiss CONTINA for B&W, 45mm f2.8 Tessar lens was very good — I will show a couple of colour FUJI SUPERIA 200 with LEICA and B&W of the Cebu Images Camera Club with the CONTINA, as I was a Guest Judge for a print competition there — flash was Miranda 630 CD, FP4+…[Read more]

Good job you did not waste that paper as it is the most EXPENSIVE Ilford paper — I can afford only the Multigrade IV !

Favourite M? Has to be an MP, though the M3 is a joy to use with a 50mm Summicron.

As I said in the other post concerning scanners, take a look at the canonscan 9900f. As long as you have a machine to run the drivers, they don’t seem to work in a 64 bit enviroment, its a great little scanner! You can see some of the results I’ve gotten from it in my [...]

Hi, I love rangefinders and have a Fuji GS645S, Zorki 4K (the camera that started my photography habit in the 70′s !), a Zorki 10 which is an incredible looking camera, Mamiya 135 and Ricoh 500GS. The latter 2 I recently purchased off ebay and they are lovely bits of kit. They need an airing and a trial so I need to go out with them. Where’s the…[Read more]
