Just noticed Kodak have ceased slide film. I feel betrayed. Doesn’t help that they have tucked away slide film in a back corner of their website. Fuji seem more positive though still treat film as a freaky poor relation to digital, which seems a rather unnecessarily unhelpful policy. Anyway, just sent for 10 rolls of Velvia 100

UK Photographers 10 months, 4 weeks agoPossibly a daft or unrealistic question, but what do we know of photography clubs that might major on, or still well support, slides?
My local, Kettering & District Photographic Society, gave up having slide competitions around the start of 2012 and I don’t like projected digital images as in my experience of various projectors the picture…[Read more]-
Andrew — My Club Brentwood Photographic Club has also banned Real Film slides and allows only ’Projected Images’ which are always too bright on screen — I have to ’Digitalise’ my negs and slides and make them DARKER than on the computer so they project better — many members have LEFT the Club since the new ruling .
