Just fell in love with Fuji Neopan Acros 100 at EI 100, developed in APH 09 1:80 for 19 minutes. Agitation: 2 inversions every minute.

UK Photographers 2 weeks, 3 days agoGreat subject! As both Kenneth and D Max wrote, it is highly subjective and tied to your preference and equipment. To be able to vary the EI and adjusting for it during development is the main reason I started […]

viewing in digital media 2 weeks, 3 days agoI would also recommend an own scanner; I use the Epson v500 Photo for 120 film and a Nikon Coolscan V ED for my 35mm negatives. I don’t use the Nikon or Epson software, instead I use Vuescan. I didn’t get along […]

Gorgeous, I have just started using Velvia 5 myself; do you use it at 50 ISO or 40 ISO?

I use a Epson V500 Photo for my medium format negatives and a Nikon Coolscan V ED for 35mm. The Epson can scan both 35mm and 120 roll film negatives and is readily available. I did buy a lomography DigitaLIZA scan mask for the Epson as the scan masks that come with with Epson aren’t very good, especially if the film curls, but could get you started.

Bad news: Fuji Film announced yesterday a ”substantial” price increase for all their films: The price increases are substantial and it would be double digit. http://bit.ly/I7sykE
Better an increase than taking it off the market, still it is not going to help us motivate people to go back to film…..-
Here in the US we can obtain through Ebay and other internet vendors Lucky brand film, which is of Chinese origin. I recently paid $45 USD for 20 36exp rolls of C41 film. That’s around $2 USD per roll, which is hugely cheaper than anything I can buy locally and significantly lower than anything else i have bought via the interent. I bought…[Read more]

Yes, I develop myself and then scan the negatives; the best of both worlds, I would say
