This bridge leads from the Lowry Gallery to the Imperial War Museum North across the Manchester Ship Canal. It lifts 18 metres to allow shipping to pass.
The photo was taken using a Leica MP on Provia F.

I needed to test a Leica R9 I had been offered and the weather was appalling. I loaded a roll of Tri-X that had expired in 2002 and took some shots around the house. This is the view through a skylight in our conservatory of the reason I couldn't go outside.
