This picture was taken as part of an assignment for my A Levels in Photography at Southport College. It was practical I think. I preffered to use my time making pictures in the darkroon rather than developing films. It was just easier. Now I prefer ”normal” Black and white films.

Hi Kenneth. I always used films as normal. I rarely push them. Unfortunately, I don’t develop my own films so I don’t have much control over it. But I think the film itself has a wonderful contrast as it is.

I have had both camera and films through the scanner and they were fine. Some people say only high ISO films such as 1600 or 3200 could be damaged, but I am not sure.

I have sent a film to Ilford Lab and asked for a scan. Their prints have a very good quality. I hope it is the same with the scan. When I get it back from them I will post what I think about it.

manululu posted on the forum topic Best UK magazine for film photographers in the group Group logo of UK PhotographersUK Photographers: 2 years, 4 months ago

I subscribe “Practical Photography” which is a very good magazine…but only for digital users. I have been thinking about a magazine which publishes articles about film. Has anyone read “Black and White Photography” (not sure if it is the correct name)?
