In light of the recent discontinuations of certain film in the Fujifilm range, here is a list of frequently asked questions, answered by Gabriel Da Costa, product manager for professional film in the UK, that we hope will answer any queries that our Choose Film members have.
Which Fujifilm films are being discontinued?
The Velvia 100F in 35mm, 120 and 4″x”5 formats and Velvia 50 in 4″x”5 and 8″x”10′. Sizes still available in the Velvia 50 range include 35mm and 120. Sizes still available in the Velvia 100 range include 35mm, 120 and 4×5. All sizes in the Velvia 100F range have been discontinued.
Which countries does the discontinuations affect?
According to our notification it is global
If this is a worldwide discontinuation, why has no other country made this announcement?
Each subsidiary has its own agenda and may want to delay notification for their own reasons.
When will be the last opportunity to purchase the Velvia 100F in 35mm, 120 and 4″x”5 formats and Velvia 50 in 4″x”5 and 8″x”10?
Last delivery to us will be December and then until stocks last.
Where can I purchase these films from?
